hi april i understand this. i have the same fear although it has lessened as i have got older. i took GAVISCON when i felt sick, it really helped. The nausea does stop and also I was never sick! Try not to focus on it and get busy doing something. I think its easy to just live in ones head and get more and more anxious. You are not alone and things will change for the better eventually.

hi april im exactly like you, i constantly live thinking im going to be sick and constantly feel nausea and gagging. mines come from ibs symptoms in march and havent been sick since october (which came from too many cocktails) but even after that morning i was totally fine afterwards and had no anxiety. its a symptom which is hard to get over, hard but not impossible. I stopped taking medication after just over 2 weeks as it wasnt for me. i would also be interested in finding out some nasuea meds that help, but for the mean time I am drinking peppermint tea and seeking therapy in hope to help me rewire the present. Im here if you ever need to chat, its not a forever feeling. You only feel how you think, the more you think about something the more you will feel that way, thats the approach im taking right now. Hope i helped to know youre not alone and its not impossible to change

Hi April,
I know the tablets don't make you feel like eating, but I found having something in my stomach helped me not feel nauseous. It also went after a few days and you're 3 days in so it should lesson soon.

I've had an extreme fear or throwing up, nausea, and headaches because I've had migraines that make me throw up, as soon as I start to feel any of the above coming on I would instantly get panicky! I do know how you feel, I really do. I got to the point that I would actually throw any food that was opened after 1 day in the fridge in fear that it might go bad and make me sick and throw up. You have a fear, and over the years anything that may relate to that you start to avoid, it really builds up, I know how that is.
Once you take the sertraline and it gets leveled out at the right dose in your system those fears will start to ease up greatly or diminish! I know its like a double whammy at first, pills can make you nauseated and nauseated makes you anxious which is why you're even taking the pills but trust me in the long run the pills will make all that feel so much better, just tough it out and I think you will be happy that you did!

I've taken zoloft in the past for it, and it was wonderful it helped so much. But I thought I was better and came off it lol like many of us do so I am in process of going back on it now, but over the years I have read so much about it and know exactly what it is and why it's happening the fear has decreased a lot. I will continue on with the zoloft though just as a backup because it really did help.

I haven't started yet but 50mg in the past has worked great for me. I just stopped taking celexa last night as it work well for me. I will be starting with 25mg for 5 days to a week then going up to 50mg, that has worked for me in the past.

hello, i tried zoloft several different times and it made me so sick that i lost so much weight....i weigh 92lbs now cause if zoloft. i also have the vomiting and i WOULD have thrown up on zoloft if i didnt take my phenergan suppository....they really help me but they make you very tired with dry mouth. Just ask your dr to prescribe 25mg of phenergan suppository (pill form wont work as well when you are at the verge if vomiting) but this will help as you try to adjust to the zoloft....trust me it was a life savor for me. I also heard of zofran but i never tried it. Its also a prescribed med. Hope this helps the nausea for you!
