Trying a sleeping pill and it's giving anxiety because of the risk of side effects!

I got prescribed medicine called zolpidem tartrate 5mg for sleep. I'm so nervous and anxious to take it . Reading the side effects puts me in a panic. Has anyone tried this medicine. Positive or negative feedback please! I know everyone reacts differently to it.

If I'm not mistaking this is the generic brand for ambien. Works like a charm and you will sleep like a baby.

I have the same problem you do in that I freak out after reading the side effects of drugs where I Won't even take Tylenol. Don't read the side effects (at least not over the counter meds because those are well tolerated by most people.) Unless you really feel weird after taking it.

It made drowsy like if I took melatonin and it didn't really help so I won't be taking it. I'll stick to herbal teas

No side effects for me. I take 5mg some nights and climb straight into bed 10 mins later I'm fast asleep.

They can make you a bit groggy the next day but it passes.
