Hi everyone. I’ve been off and on sertraline for 2 to 3 years now due to anxiety, deep thinking and maybe a bit depression . I haven’t been persistent with courses Ie missing some and failing to get repeats! This really hasn’t helped attall and maybe not being as sensible as I should,,These last several months have been the hardest.. its been a constant battle.chronic fatigue and loads of other symptoms .. I’ve upped my dose by 25 to 75mg and made stomach problem I have worse so I thought what the hell and trying coming off.. I’ve not taken any  for 4 days straight and struggled! Irrated. Moods  anxious numb  and all the them. Relationships with friends feel awkward.and going on s date and having to maintain a conversation seems like it would be to much!  I took half a tablet today not sure what to do for best.. how long will these symptoms  last while trying to get off the drug . Any comments be appreciated!! It also doesn’t help that I live with a highly intense dad that drives me crazy lol

Go and speak to your doctor. If you decide on sertraline you HAVE to be consistent. I'm sure you know this already...

Your body doesn't know where it's up to if you mess with the dose and the regularity. Be honest with your doctor and if you decide on sert...or anything else set an alarm on your phone or use a reminder app like medisafe so you don't forget.

    Good luck and keep posting

I wonder if you should have a talk with your prescriber, he/she will be able to give you professional advise?

They do say to slowly taper the dose down rather than stopping abruptly; maybe this is why you feel so odd?

Best to get an expert opinion and advice I suggest x

I've been on about 20 years. Trying to come off now but in tiny cuts. First cut was 6.25mg thru a compounding pharmacy. had 4 days of misery and 2 weeks to fully normalize. I'm doing 3 months inbetween cuts, per my Dr. This stuff is powerful. The larger the cut, the worse you feel.

You sound like me. Even your intense dad lol.

I came off cold turkey from 100mg after taking it for 2 years and i developed panic disorder. Just be careful. I dont want to be on medication either as i believe its not really a solution just a mask. Im giving sertraline another shot tho as my life became completely unmanagable and i couldnt sleep.

Good luck and keep us in the loop. I have heard of people breaking free from meds but its not easy.
