Trying to conceive with PCOS

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for about 2 years. Last year I was diagnosed with PCOS and they gave me metformin and it gave me diarrhea badly so I quit taking it. I've finally been back to many Dr and they Put me on a new metformin which is way better! She had also given me prenatal vitamins to take and Clomid and I was just curious if anyone else has taken the Clomid to conceive and had it work ??

I took clomid & did fall pregnant on the third round. Unfortunately I did miscarry on that ocassion but I don't think it was anything to do with clomid. After my 4th clomid I decided on a break from it. I took inositol for 3 months, went on a low GI diet, cut out dairy & soya & I ended up falling pregnant naturally & this was after 2.5 years of trying. Good luck with the clomid

    Hi Harlie,

Sorry to hear about your trouble hun. I recently read this article about PCOS which recommended that women with PCOS who took 200 mcg of chromium per day lowered their blood sugar and insulin. This alternative therapy was also shown to have almost the same results as metformin.

    Hope this helps!

Hi, i have pcos and  couldn't get pregnant, wasn't ovulating till I went to a Bristol Fertility Clinic and took IUI with clomid. I conceived on 1st which ended in mc, work again on 2nd cycle and I'm currently 6 weeks and saw baby's heartbeat yesterday so stay positive... I'm really glad, that I found the clinic, Dr Alex Price is really polite, understanding and helpful. The nurses were amazing and you can always reach them no matter what time of day it is. It is the clinic https://ovu.com/united-kingdom/bristol/fertility-clinic/bristol-fertility-clinic-
