TSH Lab Results

Hello,

I went to the doctor recently because for the last few months I've noticed a consistent but minor weight gain of roughly 2 lbs month-to-moth. I have a goiter and have had my thyroid tested in the past and everything has been within the normal range.

Before this test, the last time my thyroid levels were tested was about 1.5 years ago. Then, my TSH was 2.6 out of a scale of 5. This time my TSH came back at 3.17 out of a scale of 4.5.

While in the normal range, the TSH level has increased in the last 1.5 years and I'm not sure if this is something I should be concerned with. I've ask my primary care physician for his opinion and very frustratingly he has not gotten back to me.

In addition to weight gain, I have noticed some fatigue, but it's hard to know if that's just a result of a bad night's sleep or not. Otherwise, I feel normal and good. I'd appreciate  insight if anyone has any thoughts. Also, if anyone can recommend a good GP in the D.C./NOVA area that is knowledgeable about thyroid conditions, I'd love to hear.

Thanks.
