Hi Sean.I had triple fusion back in August and am still in a boot.I am due to see the specialist 19/1 and hopefully I can get rid of the boot after wearing it for ten weeks.Have been told to only walk 2 to 3 steps without boot.We all heal at different rates and it all depends on how healthy the bones are.Apparently it can take up to a year for the swelling to decrease and of course that depends on how much you rest it.I do hope you improve soon. Best wishes.Nonita

Hi Sean.Hope you are improving and managing the pain and swelling.I went for my 5 month follow up yesterday and have been told that the bone is starting to heal nicely.I can now start to walk around the house without the boot but wear it when I go shopping or walk a distance outside.I did manage to cook a meal last night without the boot but the foot is quite swollen today and I am having to take painkillers.I am starting physio on Monday so hopefully they will give me some tips on how to deal with it.I must admit that I felt safer in the boot when I put it on this morning.Would love to hear your progress.Regards Nonita
