Tubes in ears to solve medication-induced related dizziness/pressure?

Back in March of 2016 I took an antibiotic by the name of Minocycline that caused me to have a vestibular-toxic reaction. For almost 2 years now I've dealt with dizziness and pressure in my ears. I've been through the complete battery of the vestibular testing and everything came back within normal range. None the less, I know that my problem is vestibular related. I have a lot of popping/pressure in my ears that I never had before taking the drug. The dizziness was also brought on at that time as well. My dizziness symptoms worsen when I have this pressure feeling in my ears (Which seems to be aggravated by motion). This has led me to wonder if tubes to relieve pressure may resolve my issues.
To give a little background info: Unfortunately, I have experienced vestibular issues before due to another medication about 8 years ago. The dizziness back then was worse, but I never had any of this ear pressure. That is why I wonder that if I can resolve my ear pressure, maybe the dizziness would improve. For my current situation, my symptoms started immediately (After 2 days of starting Minocycline). From the experience of what I went through before, I recognized the dizzy sensations immediately and knew to stop taking the pills. My symptoms are aggravated by movement as well as extensive visual stimulation (Like a fast-paced action movie or quick movements in a car may cause me to become dizzy). Dizziness is the main symptom that is difficult to deal with. It is definitely worse when the pressure in my ears is higher.
Occasionally, if I yawn, my ears will pop and the pressure will be better. Usually, nothing makes the pressure better other than time though. Sometimes, it feels like there is fluid in my ears. If I roll over in bed, sometimes I'll hear excessive popping. The same if I burp, usually my ears will pop and make the sound similar to a “blown stereo speaker”. Originally, I had pain associated with the pressure in my right ear. Both ears appear to have been affected, but the right ear may be slightly worse. In my research, I determined that my symptoms are similar to those of Meniere's disease. However, unlike Meniere’s, my symptoms are pretty much to some degree constant and it was definitely brought on by the medication.
I am at a loss, and I'm tired of being dizzy. I appreciate any input!

Yes, it is miserable unfortunately! I did try Vestibular Rehab Therapy back in 2009 when I went through this before. I performed the exercises religiously to no avail. Since they did not work for me before, it is a safe bet that they wouldn't work this time either. I do know my BP is not low and is not the cause of my issue. Thank you for the response.

Sorry to hear that sounds awful. Have you had dizziness and vertigo everyday for the past 2 years or on and off? Because I started getting vertigo due to extreme stress and fatigue 2 years ago and now I get vertigo every so often when i stress but for the past nearly 4 weeks now i have had it everyday to the point I am pretty much house bound. I started seeing a physio for my neck two weeks ago and it seems to be helping and my neck is severely jammed up. Will let you know how it goes and if it works.

I guess I've just learned to adapt to it. In 2009, when I took a different medication that damaged my inner ear, I saw no improvement of my dizziness for 3 years. After the third year, I started to notice minor improvements as time went on. Fast forward to 2015, I would have considered myself 80% better. I would only notice occasionally that there wasn't something quite right. Then in March of 2016, I took that other drug the caused the dizzy symptoms to reappear. It honestly feels like reliving a nightmare.
I do not think anybody understands what it's like to be chronically dizzy until they have to deal with it. I have had no choice but to try to go on with my days as normal as possible. It's hard to believe that I'm a year-and-a-half into this already. I've not seen any Improvement as of yet, but if history repeats itself, I have another year and a half to go. So exciting....

I am so sorry to hear and can’t even imagine going through that for so long. Do you reckon it could be post traumatic and you have taught yourself to expect it? Because the thought of you having it for this long scares me and I hope my vertigo goes away soon . I did the lightning process course that helped my anxiety but I believe my vertigo is caused by cervical vertigo and my neck being so jammed up.

There is hope. I know someone who suffered vertigo from vestibular neuritis for a year before she started getting better. You just have to find non conventional ways to get better once the doctors rule everything out. Our bodies are designed to self heal and if we keep worrying and stressing and being stuck in a traumatic state that our bodies get use to, we will always get the same results. Look for things like physios or getting some energy back. Maybe it is adrenal fatigue. You just have to keep trying until something works because it doesn’t seem possible to be dizzy 24/7. We are not designed to be like that.
