Tuck Pads

Hi all. Having a hemorrhoidectomy on March 6th and want to have all supplies ready. Has anyone used tuck pads and are they any good? I've ordered a sitz bath, a bottle sprayer, a toilet step, and benifober fibre. Anything else I may need? Hope you're all doing OK x

Ask for numbing cream and have lots of ice packs.

I made ice packs out of size 1 baby diapers.  I am a nurse and we make these when we run out of disposable ice packs.

They serve as both ice pack and peri pad and they are disposable .

You separate the layers in the back of the diaper by cutting the first layer on inside of diaper just to where the padding in diaper is.

Then you pull it apart just enough to be able to put crushed ice inside betwythe cotton and outer layer of diaper .

You have the diaper facing the way you would if putting it on a baby then fold down the top so now the tabs on back of diaper are backwards and then you use the tabs to secure folded part .

Now you are ready to place in panties and use as a peri pad and when no longer cold you can remove and throw it away .

I’m 13 days post op and still having a lot of swelling.

Also - do not splurge like I did too early on regular food because yesterday and today I’m paying dearly trying to have a bowel movement and it’s very painful.

I have had to resort to Magnesium Citrate because Miralax and Milk of Magnesia is not working after I had a cheeseburger and a turkey Sandwich with fries on Sunday.  Not worth the consequences!
