****Hello Gents,
has anyone had the Turp done? I hear that it is an awful procedure with lots of pain and very long recovery.
I would be glad to hear about

Why are you having a surgical procedure you don't want to have?
Have you looked into Aquablation? A lot of people on here have had good results with it.

i agree with michael and you made the right decision.
I had aquablation in december 2022.
Even though i had a way longer recovery period compared to others, i am still glad i chose aquablation.
It has the benefits of TURP but way less side effects.
there is a lot of information on here from people like me that had aquablation done.
Good luck.

I am sorry to hear that. That is one of the reasons I did want to have it done.
I really hope that you are alright by now.
Wish you well., please let me know

Just a suggestion: check out aquablation as an alternative. Dr's seem to only want to do a TURP. I have not had mine yet, but I am scheduled for early June. I checked out all of the options that I could have. My prostate is 182cc's. PSA was on average 5. No cancer after 19 biopsies.
