I had a foot block and twilight sedation for my bunion operation. I didn't feel pain but had a terrible itching sensation and expected that I would feel sleepy or be nearly asleep with the twilight sedation. I was not 'out of it' at all but wide awake throughout the op. Has anyone else felt like this?

I had a dislocated toe pinned with a foot block. nothing else. I was wide awake all the time chatting about holidays. it was the sounds and the tugging I found a little unpleasant. like a dentist drill but louder.

Thanks Kim. Just wondered why the twilight effect didn't work on me and if I am the only one!
