Twisting spine

Hi guys thought i would give here a try to see if anyone has had a similar issue.
5 years ago i went to a chiro because at the time i didnt realise i was working out incorrectly which resulted it my hips being out of alignment and a slipped vertebrae, he did xrays and of course my hips were tilted in which made sense and from that the top of my body adjusted accordingly. He said i had curves in all the wrong places blah blah blah so for about 5 weeks i had adjustments and finally i thought this is enough nothing changed and on my last visit he adjusted my sacrum area and thats when it all started!.
A week or so later is started feeling a pinch i the middle of my back and a constant need to go to the bathroom which got worse over time. At one stage i felt like half my face was numb so i went to the emergency room waited for 4 hours for them to tell me they thought it was a viral infection ... eventually the twisiting feeling stopped so did the pinching nd other symptoms but my whole body felt off my eyes didnt feel centre i was literally twisting. Slowly over the couole of years it has gotten much worse as in my spine has twisted so much. I have been to 5 different physios one being a sport and spine physio, seen countless doctors and spine "specialist" ( said if there is no pain there is no issue wtf) and just recently a osteo and all think it is different muscle issues but no one wants to listen to me which is frustrating as u can feel the sacrum pull down to the left which is bringing everything else around with it and im going crazy and ontop of that it is causing 4 bulging discs in my lower back
Has anyone heard or can relate to this?? Anything would be greatly appreciated as i am lost on where to go next

See??? I told you guys chiropractors are quacks, didn't I? It really isn't possible to work out that incorrectly to have thrown your body that out of whack in the first place, your body just won't allow you to do it, your natural pain mechanisms will kick in and stop you. Now, you can have poor posture, that can cause some curvature of the spine and some displacement of the pelvis from where it should be. Lord knows cracking your back isn't going to fix that, you need instruction in proper posture and exercises from a physical therapist to guide your body back into proper alignment. Now, can a chiro go too far with their cracking and cause real harm, and that answer is a resounding yes. That pinching pain could very well have been due to a worsening of an entrapped nerve, but I really can't see how he could have twisted your spinal cord. It is pretty much anchored in there, level by level with nerve roots coming out and going to the periphery. If you have documented 4 bulging discs, not a chiro saying so, then perhaps you need to see a pain management doctor as your next step. They would most certainly listen to you first and foremost. I am thinking that a trial of epidural steroids to see if those bulging discs could be shrunk down would tame a lot of your symptoms. Pain doctors get very good at ferreting out what's wrong from a lot of odd collections of symptoms, and I know that I was trained very well in the art of listening.

Ok all i can say is wow, i'm sorry that your having a problem being properly diagnosed. There are many reasons for bulging discs, trauma, over use usually by lifting, even normal spinal changes that happen with age. I would tell you that maybe see a pain management doctor, and have some tests done. You dont say when your last scans were and what scans were done. Bulging discs can be painful, and should be treated before they get worse. Family docs dont specialize in spine problems and the spine docs you have seen should be able to give you answers of a treatment that can help you, i would think that a spine doc would at least send you to a pain specialist. As far as chiropractors go, i know i was told not to let one do anything to my back because of bulging and herniated discs. My mom went to one, and they did some x rays and determined her back was to bad to bad to be treated by them and told her to see a ortho before they would treat her anymore, so i know there are some good ones out there. Any time someone manipulates your spine you should be concerned, one wrong crack and things can go down hill fast. The other thing i can tell you is that if your scans are older than a year they need to be redone, to get an accurate picture of what is going on. The one thing i will say, if you find a good pain management doctor it will change everything, they will help you by keeping track of your different treatment and scans along with help navigate the insurance companies. Oh one other piece of advice, read the message boards here, i have learned alot myself,
