Two-Foot Long Pubic Hair

Posted , 6 users are following.

I just discovered a pubic hair on my testicles that is approximately two feet in length. What might cause this phenomenon, and is this "normal"?

I hope not! lol Only kidding; that's astonishing!

It begs the question why did you let it grow?

I actually just discovered it, which is surprising given that I perform regular examinations for testicular abnormlities. Judging by the average rate of hair growth, it could have been growing for as many as four years...

I suppose it must have been curled up! I have a tiny hair, just one that keeps growing on my chin that I have to pull out. So I can officially say I'm a woman with a beard! lol Does one hair count as a beard I wonder.

It also begs the question, why are you measuring it?

Lol mrsmop! I'd probably measure it out of curiosity, and to see if I could get in the Guiness Book of Records. lol

That's just an estimation- it is very difficult to measure, now that it has finally come off

I expect you'll be looking out for it growing back.

The only thing that I can put it down to is a high testosterone levels in the blood. What you can do is to trim them down, because as the body sweats to cool the body down excess hair can increase sweat rashes which can be uncomfortable in the groin area.

Not sure why you care. Although I question your personal grooming to be honest.

Its concerning that your first subject for discussion is this, and not anything medical

He questioned whether it's normal. Sometimes certain body changes are related to something 'medical'. It's better to ask if there are any concerns.

And Mark replied that it might be high testosterone levels in the blood. Also this is a chat room so anything can be talked about. Talking is therapy - especially for sick people who are alone. It's helpful for the conditions we have because it can take our minds off being frightened, depressed or stressed, it lightens us up! razz

Everyone knows that being relaxed and happy improves our health and communicating about anything helps with that.

yes Georgia. What may appear unusual might be found to be common, or indicative of trouble or possibly a curiosity. Also everyone so far has assumed that the hair is growing from the srotum. If from a testicle our replies might have been different.

Yes, especially seeing as testicles don't have hair follicles; it'd be a medical miracle! eek

Yes, Guiness book of records entry. I would guess that one hair folicle has forgotten to shed the hair at the normal interval. I hope that would not be a problem. I have no idea if it means anything. but that is what the question is about. Does it or could it mean anything significant.

      Jimmy ~

I believe the MOD would cancel his discussion if they thought it wasn't something of value.  If it were me, first, I'd be somewhat embarrassed to even tell a friend face to face but here we are Anonymous and we can feel safer from being "judged".  I find solace on this site and find I do speak of things that I cannot talk about person to person.

Thank you, DurbanBru for your discussion.  I hope you find your answer and if so, share it with us!!

      Warm regards,

      Frustrated

I dont disagree with how great this site is. But somethings are perhaps more suited in other forums. Or certainly other areas of this site and not in a general chatroom. It had been noted that they had been people from press and other people on forums abusing the trust of people who are in need of support.

Durbanbru I am sure there are areas even on this forum that are better suited to this discussion isuch as Sexual Health. I hope you have managed to solve your worrys and I apologise if you were offended by my response but there are better place to dicuss these things is my opinion

I agree with Frustrated. The Moderator has in other cases moved a discussion to a different group. I would suggest that we forum members should not go further than a suggestion to the originator that Group X might be better. The virtue of this forum is that we accept each others views. I suppose this is an issue of how one says it rather than the substance. After all, your suggestion is entirely reasonable and it is good to know that you would prefer to see this discussion moved.
