Two weeks after botox; pretty sure my butthole is falling out.

Anal fissure, chronic, 8 years.

Exam before surgery: Fissure, scar tissue, no hemorrhoids present.

The first couple of days, there was not that much pain. Since the botox, my pain has increased tenfold. Today marks two weeks out. It is 730am and I've been up crying for the last hour and a half after finally crying myself to sleep at 330am. 2 and a half hours of unrestful sleep. Pain. Position changes do not help. Sitting. Standing. Laying. Walking. It hurts into my stomach. I'm nauseous. My butthole looks like a fist is coming out of it and I can literally grab my sphincter.

I called my surgeon and he basically said it's not anything concerning after he told me before the botox that pain only lasts a few days. I asked for some cream and they just wanted me to take the opiates I'm scared to take because I'm deathly afraid of getting constipated. Finally they called in a lidocaine cream and my insurance isn't covering it. So I took a percocet and 3 stool softeners and it didn't hardly touch this pain.

Adding: direct pressure is more helpful than a donut type seat, but neither is any less painful.

So sorry, I completely understand your pain, I had Botox and excision done last friday and cried after BM since. The pain feels like its cutting thru my body. I just dont get how it works for some and how its aggravated it for others. Mine is a deep fissure, no hemmorroids and weak muscles due to childbirth they said post surgery. Its crazy the impact this has on your life, how do u even explain it to employers etc, no one understands how bad the pain is. I feel for you, lets hope a miracle fixes everything before the new year. xxx

hi, the first thing you must do is stop taking any sort of opiates!! this only causes anal spasms. One specialist and professional i saw could not believe i had been prescribed for them. he was actually furious! i understand how hard this sounds but you must battle through without them. salt baths and the hot wheat bag were my savior. Botox does not work for anyone either. you will need LIS Surgery. good luck
