But what i recommend is, you can maintain a good diet from now.
And avoid junk foods and unhealthy foods.
Proper little exercises.
You no need to worry

Type 2 diabetes, once known as adult-onset or noninsulin-dependent diabetes, is a chronic condition that affects the way your body metabolizes sugar, your body's important source of fuel.

Best advice I can give you is to be tested. I've had my kids tested since they were in grade school.
When I was first diagnosed I thought of all the diabetics I knew and a thought came to mind so I went searching for an answer. My question was directed to the members of the American Diabetes Association forum. I asked how many were apples and how many were pears. Shaped body, you know. Every diabetic answered that they were apples. So my thought is this, if you are pear shaped don't get stressed. If you are an apple, make sure you get tested every year.

I have had diabetes since 1995 when I was 49. My father had been diagnosed with it some years earlier, my twin sister was diagnosed about 10 years ago, my son was diagnosed last year. Myself, my father and my twin sister were not, are not, never have been overweight, in fact my sister is underweight and also is very active. My son on the other hand is overweight and was very inactive until diagnosis and has now started eating differently and taking more exercise. Yes, I believe it's in the genes but you can't say if you're overweight you will get it and if you are underweight you won't, I think it's all down to luck.

I agree, my brother and I were the skinny ones out of all of us kids and we're the diabetics, I now have chronic kidney disease with gfr 23. DIABETICS! Know your gfr and keep track of it! Ask for a hard copy of your labs from the lab that tests you. Learn about kidney disease so you can avoid it. CKD sneaks up on you sometimes.
