Does anyone know if anyone has got better fron u.c.

    You don't recover from it, it needs to be managed for life, when you have no symptoms you are in remission, you can stay in remission for short or long periods - even years, but UC is still there in the background.

    I was diagnosed with UC and hospitalized for several weeks when I was 25 many decades ago.  After recovering I was symptom free for decades with only occasional bouts of diarrhea and worked and lived a normal, pain-free life.  I may have been lucky, but it was never a factor in my life.  I realized that stress contributed to my disease and I preacticed relaxation techniques for several months after release form hospital and kept in mind the need to minimize stress as much as possible.

    Ive been in remisions 7 years, never had any problems since diagnosed and take 2.4 grams of Mesalazine daily.  Im on the not so sever end, others are on the severe end where they need an operation.

    You are lucky I have to give myself enamas for life now, and take 4 mezaline pills every day .But it stops the bleeding.and diareah.Thank god .
