Hi all. I'm now 6 months post op UFE and I'm having a thick brown discharge which started yesterday. It does not feel like a period. Very strange.

Hope everyone is well

    Hey Patricial27802,

I'm only 3 weeks post UFE. My doctor told me that it could take up to a year sometimes to see the full effects of the procedure. Brown discharge sounds like it could be old blood which is normal. I even heard that gray discharge is normal, which is what I had a few weeks ago.

Hi Lyn thanks for that. I thought it was

fibroid tissue just wish it would go

Yeah, I also think it could be old blood. However I had a brown discharge at one point which was a degenerating fibroid. That's not necessarily a bad thing, as my degenerating fibroid went from being 8cm down to 1cm. After all, if there's something that shouldn't be in your uterus, it's best for it to be expelled!

But I certainly feel your frustration. Hope things settle back down for you.

    *hugs* Rosie

Hi Rosie... When did you have your procedure? I know I need to have patience but I'm 4 months post and not sure if I'm improving. It seemed at first a great improvement, but my second and third cycles have gotten progressively worse.

Also, I feel like my abdomin is getting bigger again and not shrinking.

Hi Deana I am 6 months post op and I have had exactly the same experience as you. My periods improved and now they are getting worse. Also my tummy has grown bigger again. Just praying that I see change but I'm not very hopeful. hope you do better
