After 8 weeks of suffering with ulcer I asked GP to check, I am now being fast tracked to vulva clinic as told it isn't an ulcer 😳

Hi, I had a similar thing a few months back.. I thought a white painful sore just inside my inner labia was an ulcer.. in the end my GP sent me to see my specialist for a biopsy as he wasn’t sure what it was.. it turned out to be some sort of boil and with much discomfort to myself he managed to squeeze it and it eventually went by itself.. I hope this is the case with you.. wishing you all the best - Jo

I have gone through a similar experience. I first had a small mole on my labial area and they removed it because it was right at the party leg area. It came back as squamous cell carcinoma. 30 years ago. Fast forward to this last November during routine colonoscopy they said there was a suspicious looking area. Same spot the mole used to be. So they did biopsies in several areas and at first the diagnosis was HPV ( genital wart) but then in February they went ahead and took a large deep section of skin in the area surgically. I just last week was asked to come in for results. To oncology.

The results was NOT HPV. Which I didn’t think it was, as I had told them about the mole. They also tested my DNA and I do not have the HPV in my DNA either which is a relief because I know I didn’t pass it to my children.

So they are treating it as if it is cervical dysplasia. Which I did have at age 25 and had a hysterectomy

They are quick to pass things off as something simple but this is your health and it is so easy to be misdiagnosed and told not to worry.

It is best to demand explanations and tests.

Hi, I doubt that its anything to worry about but best get it checked out to be on the safe side.

The GP said don't worry, you will have a biopsy and if there are any causes for concern, they will remove it, it doesn't matter we don't need it 😳😳😳😳talking about my labia !!

Dang! Yeah, just the they will remove it sounds scary! Well if your GP says it's not an ulcer, did he say what it could be? Was he just vague? Urgh!

Didn't say what it could be but sort of cocked her head to one side and pulled a sad face 😕Made me feel it could be sinister 😞
