Ulcers and blisters

Hi everyone, I am new to the forum. I got diagnosed with Lichon Sclerosus in june where the GP gave me a steroid cream which seemed to get everything under control. I fid not have a biopsy so no firm diagnosis.

Anyway this week following sexual intercourse after a 6 month break my genital area is covered in ulcers/ spots with like blister heads. If I urinate it is complete agony. Anyway Ive been to out of hours GP today due to the pain and she has saud its not Lichon its herpes! As you can imagine I am confused and scared she said you never get ulcers etc with lichon. I just wanted to see if anyone else has suffered like this or not with this condition or been misdiagnosed with herpes? Im bring tested obviously for this. I would be grateful for all your advice. Thankyou

I'm not sure - new to all of this - but I highly doubt herpes would erupt right after having sex! I think it has an incubation period. Good luck and so sorry you're going through this. <3

I got test results back as herpes type 1 but the Dr said it would show that anyway as I have had cold sires in the past so I carry that virus anyway. Im still not convinced it wasnt the LS. Im at the hospital in October for a camera biopsy to remove polyps so might ask for a test for LS

Yes, I would say get a second opinion and keep looking for answers. I had mine biopsied (not fun, but I think it would ease your mind to know what's going on). Let us know what you find out and take good care of yourself until then. XO
