Ulnar Styloid pain

Hi, i hurt my wrist 2 weeks ago. I went to the walk in clinic and had an xray, all was clear on there so I was told it was soft tissue damage and wear a splint to rest the wrist for a week and come back for follow up appt.

I returned week later and seen different doctor, she pushed and prodded my wrist and said most likely tendon and should heal in a couple of days. I was in the most excruicating pain when I got home and rested the wrist then assuming I was being a wimp with just a sprain, I tried doing some gently exercises to loosen the wrist. Seemed ok as I was doing it, a bit painful, but I carried on. An hour after the exercise the pain became worse.

I returned to the clinic today and seen another doctor and he seemed to think possible ulnar styloid fracture that don't always show up on xrays, he has referred me for MRI.

Just wondering if anyone else has had pain on pinky side of wrist that when twisting, trying to rotate the wrist or keeps you awake at night? What else can it be?

I like to think I have a high pain threshold but maybe I don't.

Thanks
