    Hi Christina,

How was your umbilical Hernia diagnosed?

During your hospital visits did you have an Ultrasound to confirm it was a hernia and do they believe all your pain is caused by it?

To be in that much pain all caused by the hernia you must something going on all right.

I currently have a umbilical Hernia that doesn’t fully reduce but it’s not causing anywhere near the pain and problems you are describing?

Have you tried Ibuprofen (anti inflammatory) taken with food, maybe a heat pack, but you really need to be seen by a medical professional ASAP.  I wouldn’t wait any longer.

I would suggest going to A&E asap.

Also, if they're going to repair the hernia try to have them do it without inserting a mesh. A lot of people react poorly to it. Including myself. I was in chronic pain for 3 years until I had the mesh removed.

    Hope you get better.

I had an umbilical hernia last year the doctors told me mine was so small that fat from my stomach was getting pushed through the opening and then getting stuck. When this happened I would be in extreme pain but only for a few moments until it would go back in. Maybe this is what is happening to you? Try to lay flat as much as possible sorry I don't have better advice feel better soon!
