Umbilical Hernia and Groin Strain

In 2014 I had a umbilical hernia repaired with a mesh. I now have a double umbilical hernia, (left of my belly button) I'm in no pain so my surgeon said there's no rush but he does want me to lose weight before he does the surgery. I now developed a groin strain also on the left side. Curious if they are related some how. The groin sprain could be the result of me playing pickleball. So again, not sure if my hernia is related to the groin strain.
