As a child I had an umbilical hernia....I had an "outty". I had surgery 40 years ago. Once in a while I had some pain around the scar. Lately I've been experiencing more pain around the incision site. Is this normal?

I don't no about those type of hernia I had a small 1 after my son was born 24 yrs ago I haven't had any problems though

I'd go see your GP in the first place and explain your history. Some GP's are more sympathetic than others of course and you may need to insist if the pain and/or your worries continue. From your post it doesn't seem clear as to why you'd be experiencing recent pain, so further investigation would be warranted. Good luck :-)
