When my ear hurts it goes down to the lt side if my throat thats the ear that had the surgery 😔😔😔😔

My question is has anyone else out there had this surgery and if so whats the recovery for you and was it successful btw Canada doesnt cover it so im out 5000.00 thats how much the specialist charged me ...Desperate for answers or solutions

    Hello Helena,

I had balloon dilation three months with right ear tube placed. Awful. Couldn't pop ear and then it got infected. Fluid built up. Tube taken out and a scab formed and another infection with Cipro drops and then the scab popped off with terrible pressure and pain and fluid coming out of ear. A mess @@ I have no idea if the ET is open or not. I've been too busy dealing with this awful tube mess.

Also, since the tube issues, I have loud hissing tinnitus, some dizziness, and feel like right ear is full.

    Just never ends.

Am hoping once the hole in my drum closes, I will have relief from the tinnitus. It could take weeks, says the ENT. Furious.

    Hope your luck is better.

The surgery really didn't help me. I've had nothing but trouble every since with the tube being put in and taken out and it got infected. I'm having an MRI Tuesday of inner ear. I am starting to wonder what is wrong with this ear ......it just goes on and on and now the hole where the tube was won't heal and feels very weird. When I blow my nose, I hear the air go through the drum @ ! How long does it take to heal ?

    Hi Judi ,

it sounds like your talking about the tubes ?

I already had that done twice and couldnt tolerate it so i had them removed .

Im just interested in Balloon Dilation in general if so what sort of symptons did u feel @the surgery and upon your follow up what exactly did the dr say to you ?
