Unable to respond to any of the discussions. Very frustrating.

When the program that manages this website makes it impossible for me to respond, I feel excluded. LS is hard enough. Would like to support all of you in your struggles, but the start of a new discussion is the only thing that works. Sorry for this 'nonsense' new discussion. Who can help?

I have spoken to Hanny via the feedback area before about this and have also seen a few users saying they are having problems losing posts. This has been thoroughly tested in various browsers/devices etc but we cannot see any issue. You will not lose a post if someone is replying at the same time.
All I can suggest is there is an issue on your PCs or devices like internet connections dropping etc. If anyone is having issues then please send me a private message (or use the feedback link in the site footer if you can't get into the site) with as much information as possible including below.
How you are accessing the site, ie desktop PC, tablet, phone etc.
The operating system being used, ie Win 7, iOS, Android etc and version if known, ie iOS 6, Android 4.3 etc.
Browser being used, ie Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc and version number if known.
The discussion you were trying to access/post in with date and time attempted.
A summary of what exactly is happening when you have issues.
I can then forward to the developers to try and check in the database logs for any issues.
Regards,
Alan

This morning I got in after I clicked on "Reply to hanny32508" three times and waited till these little moving blocks would disappear from the reply box. Only than a cursor occurred and I could type in this message. Does this give you perhaps an idea of what may possibly be the problem?
My computer works fine, internet access is working as it should. I only have problems trying to respond to messages on this site.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

What I have found in IE is if you click the reply box before the page has fully loaded it will just take you to the top of the page so if you wait until the "busy" status (spinning circle) on your browser tab has finished loading the page before trying to reply this will help. The "moving blocks" indicate the reply box software has not finished loading and you cannot start typing until they have finished and gone.

It seems hit and miss. The blocks keep going till kingdom comes. Clicking on the reply button two to three times, while nothing is typed in to send, works for now. At that point the blocks disappear and the box makes the change 'enter text'. Computers keep amazing me.
Hanny.
