uncontrollable cough

I am new to this group and so desperate. Every winter once I get a slight cold my cough goes out of control. I'm gagging, desperate for breath and just cannot release the mucus in my throat. I started with the dreaded cold 5 days ago and am now coughing up blood. got a doctors appointment for later today. Do other people really struggle with coughing and not being able to clear their throat. I hardly ever get heartburn but the coughing is destroying me

    Hi sweetie , sorry to hear you are having some problems,,,,, manuka honey in warm water and break a slippery elm capsule in the water to sooth your throat ant tummy i have used this many times.Menopause is my problem slows everything dow n,,,,,, good luck hope it works for you,,,,,oh and deep breaths do help
