Underarm Pain

Where do I start. Hoping someone can put my mind at rest.
In January, I had a nasty virus which led to chest pains, feeling terrible, palpitations, went to doctors, had ECG and bloods, all normal. Was taking Cerazette mini pill at time, stopped taking it. Started feeling a little better, started taking again. Had dull ache under left armpit and sore boobs. Put this down to starting pill again. Chest started feeling all tight and heavy, pains again, so stopped pill again, went back to doctors, slight swelling to sternum area, told I had Costochondritis. Pain in underarm/left side of breast continued, had a good check doing self breast exam, went back to doctors, had examination off the doctor, no lumps felt, no swollen lymph nodes, doctor put it down to combination of hormomes and costochondritis. Painful armpit went away, got my period, started taking cerazette again.
After a few days, started feeling ill again, armpit and left breast uncomfortable. Took pill for about 12 days, then made decision to stop it altogether, had another doctors apt - blood pressure, heart rate and ECG (again) all normal.
However, dull pain/ache still in armpit and sometimes down left side of breast, sometimes ache down arm. Its intermittent, not always there, when I'm sitting and relaxing I dont feel it, its not stopping me sleeping. When I'm doing things around the house, i'm aware of it. When I squeeze my armpit towards my body, I can feel the ache, but when I stop squeezing,
i dont feel it. Both my breasts look as normal as usual.
I'm sick of waking up every day to this, worrying about it, the doctor says there no lumps and it will probably go away in time, but i'm worried that theres something more seriously wrong, and keep thinking im going to die and leave my husband and daughter which upsets me and makes me think of it more!
I have a 2 year old child that Im always lifting up, and i'm left handed, am wondering if it could be hormonal due to the amount of times I've stopped and started the mini pill in a short space of time, and also if I maybe have a trapped nerve or damaged a muscle in some way.
Any comments would be appreciated.

Did you ever find out what was causing your pain?
I've had the same symptoms along with pain in the rib area and on and off headaches. All my pain seems to be on the left side.

I've had it since mid June. Like you I started to get paranoid and had high anxiety. I finally got that under control but I still have the pain. Sometimes it reaches right down to my pelvic region. I also get bad headaches every so often. That could be related to the muscle pain in my neck and back. I have a specialist appointment soon so hopefully I'll know more then.
Glad you you are feeling a bit better

i have almost the exact symptoms along with some back pain and shoulder pain on my left side. my doctor ordered a sono and mammogram since breast cancer runs very strongly in my mothers family but i wasn't aware at the time of the appointment my insurance ran out so i have to further see anyone. it started with lumps in my armpit without pain (that i can remember, this began in november) and now there's near-constant pain. im trying online forums for advice and perhaps a women's clinic to get checked out since it only seems to get worse unfortunately.

Hi Holly, please get that mammogram; genetics and family history play a big role in diagnoses. You said breast cancer runs in your family. Early detection is crucial to a good prognosis. Please don't put it off. There are programs available to people without insurance. Please don't wait.

I am have been taking Cerezette for 3 years to control the menopause and it seems to be working. I have had similar symptoms to you with pain under my arm and at the side of my left breast since March 2014. I self checked but couldn't find any lumps, went to doctors in April and was checked by two doctors, neither could find anything under my arm or in my breasts. I had my 3 yearly mammogram on August 4th and have been recalled for further checks - again I have been checking each day since getting the recall letter last weekend and still can't feel any lumps. I go to the hospital tomorrow and will let you know the outcome of further assessment.

Not much help to you with your situation, but I felt so much better after knowing there were no lumps or anything found when recalled.
I hope you are feeling a bit better and hopefully the pain will decrease in time.

I actually had to stop taking it because I'm getting a lipoma removed from my upper chest and it can cause bleeding during surgery. I do believe it helped me though. It does takes a couple weeks to notice a difference. It might be worth a try if other things have not worked for you. Hope it helps!
