Underarm rash development

About a week ago I deleveloped a rash under one underarm. I at first thought it was a reaction from new laundry detergent as I traveled to see my parents in Michigan when it devolped. After a few days the irritated area grew. Some of the area itches but it's nothing bad like I want to scratch my skin off. I then thought it was a yeast infection. I started applying Equate Clotrimazole USP1% cream on the area. So far there has been a slight inprovement in only one general area (if you look in the upper left of the immage there's a long red strip, just above that there is a normal color strip. This strip used to be red as well and has healed. I try to air it and dry it out as much as possible but my line of work (working on the exterior of yachts) requires me to be in the hot sun sweating and washing the boat. Right now I'm not in a situation where I can get to a doctor as we are currently movng the boat up to New Jersey and will be stuck on the boat. I'm looking for some input on something that may help that I can grab real quick at the local CVS before we leave Sunday. I'm also not opposed to shaving the area to help it dry if people think it will help. I have attached an image to help. Also please feel free to ask any questions that you think my help. Thank you for any help you may provide. Also I'm sorry if I posted this is the wrong area. I tried to find a good spot for it.

Maybe you have seen a doctor by now,but I would say, yes, shave your armpit...but only once...dont keep shaving as it will make the area more sore. Then keep the area well washed with a bland unperfumed soap. Rinse very well and dry well. Only wear 100% cotton next to your skin.   It could be  candida so Clotrimazole cream is fine . Try to use it only at night after washing and drying. Try to keep the area as cool and dry as possible....not easy I know when its in your armpit. You could also try taking an anti allergen tablet once a day. You should be able to buy these in the pharmacy.
