Understanding inflamation

I have had PMR for almost 2 years and am down to 3mg. Not too bad, but wake up to hurting tops of arms now, which gets easier in about 10 mins after I get up. I can put up with this. But should I increase the dose with the reason that any inflamation is not good for me? Last blood test was below the 10 mark.

Sometimes it is hard to tell if it is PMR, arthritis, bursitis, or what.  I would step up the pred and see if there is an immediate difference.  Good luck.

If it subsides after 10 mins, that sound good going to me.  I would stay at 3mg for a few months as once down to 7.5mg and below that is when your adrenal glands start to wake up and that can take a long time.

You could ask for an ACTH test to see if they are fully functional.

But I would try Bowen Therapy.  Book three sessions and if it does not work for you with the three sessions, the Therapist will tell you.   It is well worth three sessions.

Before bowers,  now I just have like you a bit of top arm pain, but I think that's how I sleep. Arms under my head laying on my tummy, but that goes in 5mins. So can live with that I am 5mg

Have you tried getting really relaxed and detoxed before bedtime?  E.g. a warm bath with detoxing bath salts (like Celtic salt) and maybe a drop or two of safe aromatherapy oil (tea tree, lavender).  Maybe light a beeswax candle in the bathroom as well, to purify the air. Wallow for at least 15 minutes.  Then don't do anything stressful before you go to sleep.
