Undescended testicle

hello,

I'm 22 years old. I was born with a left undescended testicle. I had the surgery to fix it when I was a baby but the issue here is that the Left testicle "which was the undescended" never developed. Its very small, like the size of a penny compares to the right on.

I never got it check out because growing up i thought it was normal and everyone else was going through the same thing.

Is this common or does anyone else know how or why this happened?
