Undiagnosed bladder problem

Since last 3 years I was having mild discomfort n a strange mild pain on start of urination and same at the end....afterwards some soreness, burning ....n used to be fine after few minutes. But mild pressure n soreness always remain there. If tried immediately after first voiding then it would sore up more n if 2-3 times done then I cud feel the urine passing thru wounds. so I used to stop myself n divert mind .

Since last one month I thought of getting myself checked ...but urine reports, ultrasound n x-Ray all came fine. So no diagnosis yet...but am on antibiotics ...which relieved that strange pain but still the burning n pressure are there . Especially after urinating. Am going mad...as want my diagnosis . I had uti for many years after c-sec .n thought it's the same .😪 am 45 years old in peri- menopause state. Please help..

So if you are on antibiotics and you are having checks and scans etc then your doctor is trying to sort it out.

it sounds very uncomfortable and i hope that you get your diagnosis very soon.

does it help to drink cranberry juice? i've heard that can help somehow.

if your doctor says that everything is 'normal' at your next appointment then ask for further tests becasue obviously there is SOMETHING wrong.

    best wishes

l had many years of frequeny, soreness, stinging and heat, along with pressure pain in my lower back, some tum pains, all started following a csection sterilisation, leading me and gps to think a gyny or hormonal problem. l also had frequent thrush which can also cause stinging, and aneamia, which can be caused by blood loss, which might be found in urine sample and put down to infection, but it can and was in my case intersticial cystitus, took years to get diagnosis, during which time l,d many urine samples tested, and in later years xrays and scan which didnt bring a diagnosis, or indicated any problem.

For me, and others, it needs to be a cystascope to bring a diagnosis, its a minor procedure, done on the day ward, under anascetic, where a baloon in used to inflate the bladder, salt water inserted to see if bladder wall bleeds with it, as a normal healthy bladder wall shouldnt, they will also look at bladder with a camera and take a biopsy, which is a certain way of showing any problems. Usually just a short stay 2-3hrs to come round, with a little soreness which should settle and at least you should know of problem.

Hi Shikha my symptoms arent exactly the same,as im not really in any pain upon urinating but i feel uncomfortable pre/during&after urinating & the feeling off fullness even after pee'ing, but just some tips that ppl have thrown my way that possibly could be of benefit?? I was told to drink barley water rather than cranberry juice. Anti-histamine incase there is something your eating/drinking/intercourse that is irritating things and i am about to try oxybutinin for possible bladder spasms. As i say it may not b of help to you but cant see that there is any harm in trying?

Hope u get sorted soon xx
