Undiagnosed...think it is CFS...what do you think?

I have been in and out of doctor offices for over a year. I can't get anyone to say what is wrong with me. I am constantly tired. As the day wears on, I start feeling sick. My throat hurts, lymph nodes in my neck swell, sometimes a low grade fever. Because I homeschool our four children, help my husband run a bakery, plus I am overweight....everyone says it is no wonder I am tired....but a sore throat and fever is not normal all the time. I'm always negative on strep. Tests showed that I did have mono at some point. I feel CRAZY. I look okay on the outside, but feel AWFUL inside. Could this be CFS?

So July 2017 I came down with swollen lymph gland in neck, I’m a bit of a hypochondriac so I went the dr’s straight away who said just a cold coming on, I wouldn’t have that I knew it was sometjing more. Went back and got tested for glandular fever(mono) it came back positive, U only have a very small window to get tested where it will say active. I am still suffering now with CFS. My symptoms are constant sore throat, extreme tiredness (I don’t feel drugged) just very tired, swollen glands, sore neck on and of and low grade fever. Are u on Facebook? There’s some brilliant CFS groups and u sound like he majority of us in there. Sadly I suspect it’s causes from the glandular fever xxx

I agree with another poster doesn't sound like CFS but you never know many people are different.
It could be in your case a few things stress, infection both can cause so many problems I had some patients with stress alone causing symptoms you describe.
which tests has your doctor done?
a person being overweight is something that is misleading again i have seen many patients who do not fit the agenda we have to pitch about you must be this weight class so on but you can still be healthy being overweight being obese is a different story.

I have been through soooooo many tests. I've been to an infectious disease specialist. She ran a huge spectrum of tests. No infections. Found some cysts on one of my kidneys from ct scan. I'm getting ready to close my business and take some time off to see if stress is the main contributor.

Severity to symptoms. I don’t feel drugged when fatigued, I often feel nauseous when I’ve over done it, I to have a constant sore throat and a low grade fever - particularly towards the start of a bad few days. It’s definitely worth pushing for more tests - though tiring and frustrating they are what need to be done to rule everything out. Unfortunately ME is a test they will fall back on - after every test possible they’ll say that’s what it is. Since everybody’s case is different there’s just no telling wether it might be or not. Hang in there and definitely take some time out, I recently I termitted from university with the hopes I would come home and be better in a week .. much to my surprise I’m much better but still by no means well enough to return. Stress in my opinion is definitely a contributor. Hope this helps xx

Hi Korie.
I don't know what to say about your problems, but It could be your weight. I am overweight and I cannot believe the things I have found that being overweight can cause. I am much older, I am 68 and I have peripheral nueropathy is what the Dr told me. In 2011 I started feeling sick and had like a bloody discharge from the vagina, so I finally got a colonoscopy and they couldn't do it so I had emergency surgery. I had diverticulitis and the Dr said I had more infection in me than he had ever seen. Not sure why the discharge came from where it did unless it had eaten through my colon? I have had a total hysterectomy in the past. anyway, They removed about 14 inches of my colon. Now I had not really had fevers or anything, I did feel hot sometimes, but at the Dr office I just never showed much fever which you usually get when you have an infection. I didn't hurt unless the Dr pushed on my lower abdomen. People with Diverticuli ( a pocketed colon ie throughout the colon walls there are little pockets where food can get trapped and eventually cause an infection) Anyway, if you had Diverticulitis I assume it would be sore so you might have a family member or your Dr push on your colon areas. Its more common than you think, I guess your symptoms just made me think of that. I was a very sick girl but didn't have symptoms until late in the game. that aside, you might indeed have CFS but I don't think it causes a fever.
