    Hi there,

Since I started perimenopause I have had the weirdest stomach and bowel issues. I do get something similar to what you describe.

Doctors don't have a clue what is going on. My osteopath said that even my diaphragm is tense.

I sometimes get intense nausea, then I need a bowel movement, after that I feel ok.

Now that I have been without a period completely for 5 months my symptoms seem to be lessening.

    Good luck!

    Hi Priya,

I have had that weird tightening around my upper abdomen. Sometimes horribly tense and painful and throbbing.

At first it wasn't often, and not super tight. The closer I am getting to menopause, the more often it happens, and the more intense it is.

At first I could keep it under control by drinking a tea for bloating... called Get Clean tea made by Tea Republic, I think?

Lately, it seems to be easing a little, and I recently added a digestive enzyme capsule with my largest meal of the day. It's not completely gone, but it has gotten better over the last week or so.

Just mentioning in case it's something you might like to try...

    Wishing you relief!

    Sara
