Unexplained bruising

Hi, I'm 39, female and consider myself to be in good health. However I've noticed the last few weeks a significant number of bruises appearing on my legs without ant trauma to explain them! I can't recall bumping into anything yet I have maybe 13 bruises on my legs, ranging from ankles to thighs/buttocks!

Any advice or is this a straight to my GP issue?

Thanks

Do you work out? especially thinking of weight lifting or any sort of leg muscle use. you could be experiencing small bleeds in the muscles in that case, and are probably overdoing it.

Are you taking any form of medication?

Is your diet good? Lots of fruit and veg? Anaemia is a possible cause and also lack of Vit C.

If you cant think of anything and these bruises are on both legs I think you should see a GP,and especially so if they are increasing in size or number.

Iron tablets. Bruising is the first sign of iron deficient anemia. I get it all the time. Try a month of iron vitamins and if that doesn't help pop to the doc! If you have no other symptoms (pain, light-headed) it's doubtful it is anything worse
