I don't know what to do. Did you get a diagnosis on yours?

hi I've been suffering with constant eye pain for 7 months now in my left eye only, it started when I got my new prescription of glasses, a new frame too, my eye has been straining the whole time and has been getting very dry and red, it sounds like the same problem, I've been everywhere and no one can find out what it is, drops dont help and neither do warm or cold compresses, they say my eye is healthy but why is it getting g worse and worse, my sinuses also hurt but they checked them and it is fine , any suggestions?

sjogrens syndrome is one possible answer often not diagnosed. With the eye and sinus issues I'd think of it as a possibility.

Just the same here, constant pain and no answers from the ophthalmologists. Did any of you got some help or hint, or was able to solve it? Thank you very much

Hi nisan10766. Hopefully you were finally formally diagnosed and are pain free, but just in case you were not I thought I'd drop a note. I had daily on-and-off pain behind my right eye as well. I saw 2 different ophthalmologists and even had injections. Neither could provide an answer and the injections were pointless. The only relief I was able to find came from 600mg of Motrin that I could take daily as needed, but sometimes I would just endure the pain as I didn't want to rely on a pill. I can attest it's highly stressful to have pain and to continue to be told your eyes are fine. I'm 36-years old and my vision is perfect. This pain went on for a year and a half.

Several days ago I returned to the gym after a VERY long hiatus. Probably a couple years. After a few days I suddenly realized my eye pain all but disappeared. I have had maybe one or two little pain jolts but it's gone just as fast as it started.

I messaged my primary ophthalmologist and passed along the tip, "prescribe exercise if all else fails". She has no idea why exercise is helping my eye, but let's just say I'm gonna not think too much into it and be grateful that I am mostly pain free. All it took was working out 1 hour a day a few days a week.

I spoke to soon. Eye pain returned just as bad as before. Still remains a daily mystery going on two years now.

For a long time I suffered with this kind of pain behind my right eye and on my forehead and thought it was an eye problem. But I found out that it was sinusitis.

Since sinusitis causes inflammation of the nasal cavities, it can create pressure behind one or both eyes.

You should see an ENT specialist or a general practitioner to see if this is the problem.
