Unexplained right side discomfort

Thursday mid-afternoon i developed a stitch feeling in my right side while sitting doing absolutely nothing. I thought It would go away with a meal or a shower or sleep but it didn’t. I am 5 weeks pregnant so the next day I called my OB and they said it didn’t sound pregnancy related and to go to urgent care and get it checked out. (I do have an appointment Wednesday to confirm and talk about the pregnancy)

So I did that, they took a pee sample and poked and prodded me and didn’t find anything. They didn’t take blood or xrays because that wasn’t something offered there. Nothing hurts when pressed and it’s now day 3 with nothing feeling particularly worse but it isn’t any better. No fever, doesn’t hurt when I pee, I’m not bleeding or vomiting. It feels like maybe I pulled muscles but throughout my upper-middle back but this happened randomly while sitting down! Sometimes the discomfort migrates to my right abdomen again feeling like a pulled muscles there. My neck is also slightly uncomfortable from time to time as is my hip where my pelvis kind of meets it. I don’t have a gallbladder so I know it’s not that.

I did manage to snag an appointment with my doctor on Thursday but I am so anxious I’m wondering if anyone has any insight.

maybe appendicitis just a thought get that checked out by your GP worth asking I had mine out last year and it was my right side and very uncomfortable and then became an bearable painful good luck but I’m sure you’re fine and you’ve just pulled a muscle without even knowing it and being pregnant does funny things to your tummy and your hips and things around try not to stress as long as its not getting worse I wouldn’t worry too much good luck thinking of you take care

Is this your first pregnancy? I can't image the OB saying that it has nothing to do with your pregnancy without examining you. I'm not suggesting that it's something bad either. Sometimes you can get weird aches and pains when your pregnant. It could also be one of the organs on your right side. There is your liver, your right kidney, your duodenum, your small intestine and your appendix. Something can be wrong with any of those organs. I am writing this and from your post I'm assuming that you have been to see the OB. I am hoping that he/she at least ran some blood test. The doctor will probably run a CBC which is a panel of a variety of tests. Like looking at your white blood count. If it is high it means you have an infection somewhere in your body. There are several other things on a CBC blood test too. I hope things went well for you at your doctor's appointment. Please keep us posted.
