Unexplained shoulder pain

I am a healthy 16 year old boy and have always been involved in sports and fitness. around 5 months ago I injured my left shoulder weightlifting and stopped doing sport. A month later my right shoulder was injured after a snowball fight (I know right?). Ever since, my shoulders have been constantly sore although my movement is not restricted. They are both equally sore and the pain is pretty much symmetrical.

I have been doing physiotherapy for 3 months but my shoulders have not improved. I have also started doing some yoga to build up strength in my shoulders but this only seems to aggregate them.

Now it gets confusing... I have been to see an orthopaedic surgeon and the MRI scans of both shoulders were absolutely normal (there is nothing structurally wrong). He has sent me to see another physio but I am not optimistic.

I have gone through a big growth spurt over the last 6 months (I am about 6ft 3) and have also begun to suffer from back aches, neck aches and generally stiff muscles which my physio blames on my growth and muscle imbalances (because I am tall).

I am wondering if this could really just be growth related (even though it's been 5 months of constant pain)? If anyone could give me any advice or reassure me it would be much appreciated because I have become very depressed and have no stress relief now that I cannot go to the gym.

By the way I have had blood tests and they are all normal (no sign of rheumatism, arthritis or anything). I have always had some aches and pains through my teenage years but it never stopped me doing sport; nowadays it is just impossible.

Thank you!

Can you do lighter sports such as swimming?

No, even swimming is too much at the moment. I will be very sore the next morning after only 10 laps
