Unexplained Symptoms

hello, I've had unexplained symptoms for over 10 years. severe Bloating, pain in right side, itchy skin, tiredness (all the time), muscle atrophy yet my weight seems stable, i have a gaunt pale face. plus many more symptoms like dry skin, brittle nails, hair loss, occasional brain fog. Ive had all the usual tests like full blood count, liver function, kidney function, thyroid, blood sugar, ultra sound, endoscopy, colonoscopy, bacterial over growth breath tests, stool samples, urine samples, also sexual health tests and more. Overall doctors have no explanation for my symptoms. After ruling everything out it was labelled as IBS. Despite significant changes to my diet and lifestyle there is no real change to my situation. I'm extremely unhappy with this diagnosis and frustrated at doctors unwillingness to think outside the box. I'm 40+ years old. when i was in my late 20's i suddenly went from perfect health to all the above (which seemed like overnight). i believe i have contracted a virus/bacteria which is causing all my symptoms. However the doctors approach seems to be to treat each symptom in isolation. So they don't accept there is one root cause. Ive just had my latest set of blood tests which all came back normal. i don't feel well, i want to find a solution but don't know how or who to contact. Lost all faith in my GP's. any advice would be much appreciated.

It sounds almost like Chronic fatigue syndrome but thats very difficult to diagnose without any doubt, and also to treat, so the symptoms are usually managed separately. You may like to investigate the syndrome yourself. Lots of articles on the web. You dont mention diarrhoea, is that one of your problems? I see you have made changes to your diet....have you tried a dairy free diet?
