Unexplained Vertigo/Dizziness causing anxiety attacks (sternocleidomastoid)

Hi to all that read this, sorry its a tad long but the more details the better
I have had a weird vertigo type feeling for a few weeks now nothing spins and I have never fallen over it just feels as though i could faint or it could start spinning but it never happens its hard to explain the exact feeling but as soon as it happens my anxiety is triggered, I've done blood tests last week all came back fine and had X-Rays and a CT Scan done about 6 months ago and all were ok apart from a few thing in the neck (wear and tear and slight scoliosis).
I've gone from being told i have BPPV to thinking i have MS or anything in between because I googled my symptoms and this has affected my anxiety even more. The dizziness is brought on mainly by moving my head in certain positions and sometimes just my eye movements can cause this to come on.
On my google searches i came across a muscle in the neck called sternocleidomastoid and what can happen if this muscle isn't working correctly which has the same symptoms as a lot of other issues but after thinking back 12 months i can relate as I've had poor posture at work, I'm a gamer as well so my posture has been bad out of work and my sleeping posture is also bad and before going to sleep i lay there with my phone for about 30 mins to 1 hour and I wake up with my shoulders at my ears and have tension in my traps and shoulders 24/7.
When i was trying to stretch my neck I noticed the front of my neck would twitch then i started to search for the twitch and i can bring it on by opening my jaw and moving it side to side and that brings on the vertigo feeling also
It's such a tricky thing to diagnose but I'm going to keep going to as many doctors and physio's until i get an answer
Can anyone relate to this?

Hi I don't know if this helps, but I've had vertigo for around 7 years, but just recently I've had vertigo really bad for around 3 months. I don't get the spinning either. It's more like I'm on a boat on the ocean and my head gets really cloudy.. a couple of days ago I got diagnosed from a neurologist with PPPPD.. but a week before I was diagnosed I went to a chiropractor and he was convinced it was coming from my neck and the neurologist did partly agree with him.. I've tried every thing to get rid of my vertigo, and the only thing that's help me was the chiropractor.. treatment given was a combination of: low level laser therapy for nerve and soft tissue hypersensitivity
: instrument adjustment to cervical spine and Watson cervical mobilisation technique for the cervical problem
: acupuncture for both cervical musculoskeletal perspective but included few distal points
I got about 80 percent better with this treatment. I'm back at work! And I was considering quitting my job.. I hope this helps, even a little!
