Unexplained yellow bruising coming and going on legs and arm

For the past few months, I have yellow bruises that are appearing in exactly the same places on both my legs (though more often my right leg), and also on my left arm (hasn't started on my right arm yet).

The bruises appear, linger for some time (weeks) and then disappear. Then after a while, say a few weeks, they reappear ...then linger, then disappear. It's happened on both legs, but on the right leg more often (always in exactly the same place on the leg) and recently the first one to appear on my left arm was noticed.

I don't think I seem to have other symptoms, but I'm worried about this (I know unexplained bruising on the skin is often a sign of blood cancers such as leukemia).

Seems odd that they are yellow as that is the colour of a bruise after a while when the blood components have broken down. Just wondering if this is some sort of bruising going on in deeper tissues and by the time you see it as yellow it is several days old. As it is recurring in always the same places I think you should see your doctor for blood tests.Dont assume its cancer...there are other reasons for this sort of symptom.
