Unilateral labia swelling and bruising, help!

Came on suddenly about 4 days ago. I woke up in a lot of pain with one side of my labia swollen. After several hours the pain subsided to a point where i was able to sleep but woke up with it still swollen, painful, and beginning to look bruised. I thought it was a Bartholin's Cyst abscess due to the labial location and unilateral swelling/pain, and started treating at home with rest, sitz baths, and keeping any pressure off the area. However now I'm wondering if it isn't a cyst due to the bruised appearance and lack of any actual cyst that I can find. The pain is obnoxious and kind of feels like I need to pop something yet there is nothing to pop.

    Have you damaged yourself in that area? Been doing any extreme sport ? especially cycling?Have you had really vigorous or rough sex? Your description sounds like a haematoma forming and you should see your doctor. Sometimes they need to be drained.
