For a start has your husband had an ECG?Some of the symptoms sound like something is going on in the heart area.

Secondly, Has any doctor suggested MS? Do encourage him to talk about this possibilty with his doctor.

Thank you for your reply. He has had an ECG about a year ago. It came back and doctor said nothing to report at that time but couldn't rule out a previous episode. The doctor didn't follow up. My husband has been very busy for the past year, working hard and long hours with alot of strain and stress coming from multiple sources. But many symptoms have been showing in the last few months and specifically the last few weeks. Does this mean it is progressing or just a peak to the stress is taking its toll? He is finally at a point where he has time off and has a chance to relax, but it seems these symptoms are getting worse. Could is simply be the adrenaline and stress hormones are wearing off and he is just able to "feel" more?

The problem is that the medical care he has available to him seems to be not too proactive. He was told he had high cholesterol last year and low vitamin d. He told them he would like to have further investigation into the other symptoms too but they said it was because of high cholesterol and stress. They told him to recheck cholesterol in a year. But it seems to have progressed alot since then despite consuming less animal products, although we have a mostly pescatarian diet(not strict). Its frustrating to have to find the direction to investigate the symptoms on our own so we can ask the doctor about it.

The "episodes" seem to be coming and going and he is uncomfortable at some level all of the time. Lately for the last 2-3 weeks(during his more relaxed time) he is experiencing more and more disturbing symptoms. He is now experiencing a loss of appetite. Last night, he was actually feeling hungry, sat down to eat and had to take breaks to go outside to get fresh air. Its like a sort of fainting, pressure kind of feeling. He feels faint and thinks he must be pale(describes it as what he thinks low blood pressure feels like)but his face and ears were bright red. The constant blinking was absolutely uncontrollable and was very uncomfortable. He also has started feeling this odd sensation in joints, like something(like a pointy, not sharp, like a broom stick) is being pushed on his elbows and other areas. Sometimes it holds, sometimes it taps a few times and then goes away or a slight soreness remains.

It should be mentioned that during the past year, he did have an increased and sometimes an excessive amount of alcohol. However that has been significantly reduced as symptoms became more bothersome and for the past several weeks, none at all.

He has a bit of a scary history from birth that may or may not be connected. Not really sure.... This is all according to his mom that doesnt seem to always remember events like this with full accuracy or understanding. He was born with a brain hemorrhage. The doctors kept him in the hospital for 2 months, gave shots(his mom doesn't know what it was) and they did at least 2 procedures where they inserted large needles into his spine. His soft spot on the top of his head didn't begin to grow closed until he was 3. Now his head is slightly pointed in this place. They discovered when he was about 6-7 months old that he wasn't using one of his arms and when he would try to crawl, he would fall over to the side. He was paralyzed on one side of his body. His mom said it was this way until he was 10 years old. She also said he had fluid on his brain until 17. They didnt seek medical attention for this after that. However, my husband doesn't remember being paralyzed as his mom has described as old as 10 and denies knowing about the fluid on his brain completely. So, I dont know if she was exaggerating or not. If not, this is a very significant situation.

I think I have given all of the relevant information. Maybe not. I might not be aware of what else is relevant. I have researched this on my own. Of course, heart disease/heart failure comes up now that we have recognized that drinking fluids sometimes seems to trigger the symptoms to increase. This revelation has come only in the last few weeks. Also, by researching the symptoms as they have shown and progressed the last year or so, MS has come up especially with the seemingly recurring Epstein Barr. But this hasn't been strictly diagnosed(twice is has been diagnosed almost 2 decades apart) but rather just a recognition of the symptoms.

I appreciate your advice so far and will absolutely will seek further investigation of what you have recommended. What type of doctor is most appropriate to find for these? After reading the additional information I have provided, do you have anything else you could or want to add? We greatly appreciate all and any advice, recommendations and help. Thank you again.

He has a very complicated background, so it may not be an easy task to find a diagnosis or cure but has he seen a Neurologist? With all those problems connected to his head, has he had a CT scan or MRI?

Some of the problems after eating almost sound like acute heartburn/acid reflux. Does he have a Hiatus hernia? Or even gallstones? A total head to toes CT scan may show up some of these problems in a better light. There could be several different issues he is trying to deal with , and not all symptoms of one problem.
