Unknown Red Spot on Face

I've had this red spot on my face since early July. It is really red today, so I thought it would be a good day to post a picture for some help. It does fade to a very light pink color or normal color then without notice it comes back. It does not itch, flaky, etc. I've been to a dermatologist and he prescribed me an anti-fungal medication. It took it for two weeks as instructed, but it was not help. I did a follow-up visit with him and he told me not to worry about it since it wasn't that bad. The day I went back it was pretty light. It's been frustrating - just trying to figure out what is going on.

    Update - I have gone to two doctors and still undiagnosed. The 2nd doctor used liquid nitrogen and said hopefully this would resolve the issue. After healing from the liquid nitrogen it remains there and has even become bigger. The next step is to biopsy; however, the doctor said she does not believe it is skin cancer. I have also developed sores inside the mouth including a white line on the inner check which I believe is linea alba. Not sure if related. I have a follow-up appointment next week.
