Unlucky or bad dentist?

I'm trying to work out if I'm just unlucky or my dentist is not very good. I had a white filling in late Aug 2016. It fell out just before Xmas 2016 and my dentist replaced it. I had terrible sinus problems over Xmas which left me in bed for 2 days until the chemist opened. I didn't think the two were related. The filling fell out again recently and took half the tooth with it so I've just had the other half extracted and suffered sinus problems again. I went for a check up last week and was told I need root canal on some teeth that are giving me no trouble at all. And I have a lump above where the tooth was extracted that feels like there is part of the tooth still there but the dentist ignored this. I'm scared of the dentist but have forced myself to go because I want to look after my teeth. I feel that since registering with this dentist last year, I've had nothing but problems since and am wondering if I should get a second opinion or am I just unfortunate. Any advice offered will be gratefully received.

Thanks Maria. Yes, I did pay and to be fair, I wasn't charged for the replacement filling.

If the hole is much, thats means you need root canal treatment or extraction of the tooth. But I advice you do scaling and polishing before root canal treatment or extraction.
