unprotected oral. possible syphillis 1 week later?

Posted , 3 users are following.

I had unprotected oral.

I didn't notice any chancres. And I'm getting worked up. Lack of sleep tossing turning. Trying to sleep my days away waiting on tests.

It has only been one week since and I got all the tests done. 2 came back for ghonnarya and climidya both negative. What's the odds of getting accurate syphilis results one week later?

Also like to add. Some doctors say 2 days after is fine for testing. Some say 3 weeks is fine and another said 12 weeks.... I'm never gonna be sex ally active again after this scare. It's just not worth it.

Opinions are greatly welcome as to how accurate it should be.

I hope that you attended an STD clinic and were examined by a doctor rather than home testing. If you do not have any lesions it does not mean that you do not have the disease. If you are infected then the bacteria will be present in your blood and the antibodies can be identified. The problem is that if you have had the disease before your blood can still have the antibodies years later. Go back to your doctor and ask them when they will start antibiotic treatment. It would be unethical and put you at risk if they waited weeks to be absolutely certain that you have syphilis. Don't beat yourself up. There is plenty of time to give up sex when you are older. We all make mistakes.

Great. hope all turns out well. Trust me you do not want to be sick down there. especially if it is not curable. Dont trust anyone. protect yourself because you have only one body and you live in it for the rest of your life. Stay Healthy.

You've been sensible, got yourself tested properly, but what more can you do now.   You are concerned about the contradictory advice on the diagnosis timeline and perhaps you are worried about the validity of the test results. Could you have contracted the disease but will be given a false negative result because the test has been carried out at the wrong time. Can you trust your health provider? Am I on target? Think through your concerns and write them down. See your doctor and explain how worried you are and what is concerning you. Don't be a silent sufferer. They won't come to you. Feel the fear and do it. (How patronising is that advice, but it's the best I can do) You'll feel better for taking action. Hope it works out well for you.

Thank you. I'm still waiting. I have 3 out of 5 back.

Crappy thing is its gonna be to early. Theses if negative I'll have to redo and go through the waiting game again. No eating no sleeping.

Trying to sleep my days away. Oh the mess I'm in for the sake of 2 minutes. Omg .

i know how you feel. i just did a full sti screening june 4th and i had sleepless nights until i got my results yesterday. My last exposure was about a year ago so i knew that if there was anything, it would be visible by now but everything was negative. I am very greatful to God and happy. I want the same for you, go to a professional and they will run labs on you. Many free clinics in the area, google and call and call.  too many diseases out there, come curable, some not, be very careful all the time. i am praying for you. stay healthy

It's super hard. Lots of sleepless nights and loss of eating. I have my fingers crossed for the best. I hope it's something I would feel inside my body. Thanks for the little bit of hope. I got 3 out of 5 results back clymidia and ghonnarya and hepatitis all negative. Syphilis and hiv is still pending and it's scaring me. I never knew about oral being like this and I'm scared to death. I can't take this pressure. And the doctors reception is hating me calling every day to see if my results are in ugh.

Again thanks for your kind words and little bit of hope I got from it.

      Jesse
