Unspecified kidney failure?

Hi guys wonder if anyone has anything similar
I’ve had on going renal problems for a while now, repeat cystoscopy, catheter angiograms, scans , mri,ct. my urine dip sticks for 15 months have shown +++ blood and ++ protein, I’ve recently seen my nephrologist and urology team and they have since put on my clinic review letters unspecified kidney failure?
Has anyone else had experience of this if so what if they would share there experience ?
Thanks in advance !

Not had quite the same probs but I have CKD 3a/b and only blood ++ in my urine, so far my scan and scope negative, they said I had kidney disease of unkown cause until recently.
I went for a lot of anti body tests and came back with auto antibodies ANCA positive, so now they are suspecting autoimmune kidney disease.
Did you have antibody tests? Just a thought.
Hope you find out, did you have a biopsy yet? I think that is next on my list of tests.
Good luck x

I haven’t had any of them testings as of you I’m going to see them Friday and have a list of questions to ask them etc.
It’s been 15 months now and would just like to know what it could be or what’s causing it. I get infections a lot, sepsis quite a handful of times.
Thank you for replying and I hope your ok! X

Do you know what your eGFR and creatinine levels are? These are good markers of kidney disease? Are you drinking plenty of water and avoiding
salt in your diet? Also if you have been taking any anti-inflammatory medications, avoid them like the plague in future. Jane’s suggestion of being tested for autoimmune inflammatory conditions is a good one - it was one such illness that led to CKD for me. Lots of good luck wishes for a diagnosis and treatment soon so that you can get on with enjoying your life.

Are you male? Did they test your prostate? I expect they did, just a thought.
How do they work out kidney failure if your GFR is normal???

Did they actually tell you you had renal failure or did you just see it on notes?
If you have not been directly told then I wouldnt take much notice of what is written on the notes as this could just be an admin code etc..
