unsure???

I have some problems with my health that I am unsure if they are serious or not. My known health issues are Scoliosis, sciatica, prolapsed disc, history of ovarian cysts and migraines & I am overweight. However recently I am also feeling tired, hot all the time, I have trouble getting full and restful sleep, my stools for the past 3-4 weeks have been loose and very smelly, I sweat ALOT (again a recent development) I have in the past been tested for caeliac, thyroid, PCOS and Diabetes all of which have come back normal, I recently have had an MRI which showed my disc prolapse and I am off for an ultrasound in november to check to see if I have anymore cysts growing. I do not know whether all these combined are worth going to my GP or not? and if they are I am unsure what tests to ask for. Can ANYBODY help?

How long ago were you tested for diabetes? Because I take Steroids for PMR I have been tested regularly but it was only when I started getting all the symptoms you listed above that I was given a proper 'fasting' blood test and was diagnosed with type 2. I am trying to control it by dieting (low calorie + low carbs). The symptoms are definitely better. The sweating has stopped and the tiredness is not as bad, so fingers crossed. I go for my next test in November. Definitely, yes. See your doctor! Good luck, Debbie

I was tested around 6 weeks ago, and it all came back normal! I just don't know what else it could be, my doctor who I have seen for most of this currently has around a 6 week waiti time to get an appointment, so I havent got an appointment until 10th december, the reason I want to see him and him alone is I have found in the past that continuity of care can be comprmised if u see a different doctor everytime! So I will discuss it all with him then, plus my ultrasound results will be back then (its 29th november, even tho i was referred in march!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

From my own experience with Migraine I suggest you got to the doc and request an echocardiogram to look for and ASD or PFO (Atrial Septal Defect or Patent Foramen Ovale) (Hole in the heart) if there is one and it can be closed I expect a lot of symptoms would disappear smile good luck smile

Agree about getting echo for PFO and/or ASD. I developed migraines over the age of 50 which is not normal. I was diagnosed with PFO recently. Doctors don't all agree about the association with PFO and the closure for ridding migraines is under debate.  Personally, I would not have open heart surgery to try to get rid of migraines. But every case is different.

Hoping you get answers soon.  🙏🏻
