Unsure if this is an abscess

i originally went to a walk-in clinic and they just took a light shined it in my throat and deemed it as pharyngitis. So i the 2 days later was seen by an ENT and i told him my right side was really sore its been about 9 days now in total, he looks down my left side nostril and says i have GERD. im 23 i drink a ton of coffee so i can see that but he didnt even check down my right side nose the one that was hurting.....

my right side under my jaw; the lymph node isnt large enough to notice it but i can feel it slightly swollen. so i noticed after just taking a light looking in my throat at the left first then the right. the right looks like it yas a big red inflammed blotch behind the palatopharyngeal arch. is it an abscess? i keep swallowing because its irritating and i feel the lump sensation. but i feel that that has to do with why i feel the lump. picture is added to see it image

this is a normal through ive outlined where im talking about image

they have me on omeprazole and amoxcicillin currently.
