I keep getting the feeling that I need to take a deep breath in after eating or drinking ?? I notice my stomach boosts alot and chest tightens , sometimes I get pains in my left shoulder or arm too ...I have been to the A&E clinic numerous times and had x rays , lung function tests ecg echo etc and all are fine ...I'm constantly bunged up and clearing my throat too but it's the feeling of having to get more air into my lungs that's concerning me 😕 I've taken omeprozole but it didn't really do anything ?? Is this just heartburn ?? Are these symptoms common ?

What is people's shortness of breath symptoms like with heartburn ??? Please help it's driving me mad thinking I'm dying 😢

That sounds horrible, you poor thing.  Have you identified any triggers or is it just random?  I get the chest pain and shortness of breath, but not pain down my arm.  Perhaps you could ask about wearing a heart monitor for a week or so, to rule out any heart problems? Have they performed a heart scan and/or stress test?  Also look up esophageal spasms as that could be the cause of the chest pain? That’s what the specialist thinks I might have, and has put me on saldinfal which is supposed to open up blood vessels. It has helped a little bit. - Just a few things you could try asking about.   Hope you get some answers.

Yes I've wore a heart monitor for 2 weeks it's definitely not heart related it's just very hard to believe that all this pain is just heartburn! !??

Most things i eat or drink set it off but only rarely do I get arm pain now I think I'm tending up and this is causing pressure in my arm , I'm due to see the Dr next week so going to suggest some tests for acid reflux and hopefully get it sorted ...is your shortness of breatg a sensation like you need to fill your lungs up by taking a deep breath but unable to ??

I have the same exact problem. Chest pain, arm pain, shortness of breath. I too have had 10 ekg, stress test, heart monitor, chest X-ray, ecg. I have had every test done to my heart you can think of. I’m with you this is frustrating. At least we aren’t alone. Let me know what your doctor says. Have a good day!

Yes I feel like I need to take a deep breath, but that just makes the pain worse.  It is really frustrating isn’t it when you can’t get any answers.
