Unusual cramping?

I woke up this morning with horrible cramping in my lower abdomen. I'm supposed to be starting my period soon, but I am on the pill and have never cramped in my life. There is a possibility that I am pregnant because while I am on the pill, I do not have access to it and take it at different times or am not given it at all some nights. What is happening?

Bad cramping may be the beginning of a heavy period or even a miscarriage, but as you are on the pill that should not happen. Why dont you have access to your pill? That doesnt seem right.

I'm still a minor living with my parents. I ODed a year ago so they keep all medications locked up and give them to me whenever they remember.

I understand your parents concern but could you explain to them that it is almost useless to take a contraceptive pill only when they remember. You are just as much at risk of getting pregnant. Can you suggest to them that you will remind them at a certain time each day that you need your pill? Hopefully they will agree,so then its up to you to remember. Good luck
