Unusual red bumps on skin. What could this be?

Hello there! The three of us went on to a cruise ship and decided to sleep in the cabin. We all started realizing that we’ve been getting strange red bumps on our skin, in different areas clustered together.

Description:

Sudden

Near thighs, buttocks,  and feet. 

Clustered 

Red, raised, itchy and tender

We obviously thought they were bed bugs but the people we called up on the cruise said there were no insects, bugs, and pests in the sheets and bed.

So, what else could it possibly be?

Additional info:

Places we visited within the past 3 days: Belize, Honduras.

We went river tubing at Belize.

We’ve showered every day and kept clean.
